How much time does it take to transfer a domain?

When transferring a domain between different registrars using an Auth Code (EPP), the process usually takes around 5–7 days. This period is considered standard across the industry because every transfer request must pass through a defined set of ICANN rules and procedures before it can be finalized and completed. Our registrar releases the domain after the standard time frame defined by ICANN.

However, if the domain is being transferred within the same registrar using a Domain Push (instead of an Auth Code), the process is almost instant and does not involve any wait. For example, when you push/move a domain from one UK2 account to another, the transfer is generally processed automatically and is typically completed within just a few seconds.
