This message appears when cPanel/webmail detects that your IP address has changed during your session. It is a built-in security feature designed to protect your account from unauthorized access by ensuring that each session remains tied to the original IP address used during login.
Why does this happen?
• Your internet service provider (ISP) may assign dynamic IPs, which can change unexpectedly.
• Some mobile data or hotspot connections can also cause frequent IP changes.
• If you’re using a VPN or proxy, your IP may switch between different servers.
• Some ISPs dynamically route traffic through different gateways, causing minor IP variations.
How to avoid this issue:
• Use a stable, wired, or business internet connection when accessing cPanel.
• Switch to a different internet connection (e.g., from one ISP to another)
• Turn off VPNs or proxies before logging in.
• If you’re on a dynamic IP connection, try to log in and complete your tasks quickly.
• Switching the login URL to https://yourdomain.com:2083 to https://serverhostname:2083
• Trying to access cPanel using Incognito/Private Mode in your browser
