Can Website and Email Data Be Backed Up When Hosting Is Suspended?

Once a hosting service has expired and is suspended by the datacenter, the website, email services, and normal access to the hosting account become unavailable. To restore the website and email services, the hosting subscription must be renewed. If you do not wish to renew the hosting and only require a recent backup of your account, Computer Xperts can submit a separate backup request to the datacenter for a one-time backup service fee of $50 depending on the hosting space consumption. Both hosting renewal and backup requests must be made within 2-3 months of the hosting expiry date, while the account data is still available within the datacenter’s retention period. You can follow the link below to learn more about the backup restoration policy.

Why Is Hosting Renewal Required?
Your website files, databases, and email data are stored within the hosting service at the datacenter. When the hosting package expires and the account is suspended, normal access to these resources is restricted. If you want to continue using your website and email services, the hosting package must be renewed and reactivated through the datacenter.

Hosting Renewal or Backup?
You can select the option according to your requirement:
1. Hosting Renewal – Hosting renewal fees depend on your previous package. Once renewed, your website and email access can be restored.

2. Backup Only @ $50 – If you do not want to renew the hosting, request a backup of the available website or email data through the datacenter.

Important Note:
After the three-month retention period, the datacenter may permanently remove the website, database, and email data, and Computer Xperts will not be responsible if the data is no longer available. Please also note that domain and hosting are separate services; renewing the domain only keeps the domain name active and does not renew the hosting or restore website, email, or hosting subscription.
